Valley Children's Clinic provides high quality friendly comprehensive health care for infants, children, and adolescents of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas. We have been established in the Harrisonburg area since 1979 and we are committed to the preventative care and sick needs of all children in our area. Our goal is to partner with you to keep your child healthy and happy.

Meet Our Team

Lynn Lambert, MD

Dr. Lambert began his career in medicine working as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy, including a one year assignment with the Marines Corps in Vietnam. He then attended the University of Virginia as a pre-med student studying biology. He was accepted to UVA's School of Medicine and subsequently graduated in 1976. He completed his pediatric residency in New York at the Children's Hospital of Buffalo. Dr. Lambert is board certified, is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the medical staff at Sentara RMH.

Dr. Lambert moved back to Rockingham County in 1979 and established Valley Children's Clinic. The practice has thrived and grown to include 4 pediatricians and 2 nurse practitioners. Dr. Lambert has three children and seven grandchildren who live in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. In his free time he enjoys golf, cycling, and keeping fit. He also has fun playing cards, sailing, and traveling.

Megan Imholt, MD

Dr. Imholt is a board certified pediatrician who has been at Valley Children's Clinic since 2010. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University for both undergraduate and medical school. She attained her B.S. in biology in 2001 and her M.D. in 2005. She completed her pediatric residency at VCU in 2008 and then moved to Harrisonburg. Dr. Imholt is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and she is passionate about providing a medical home for children with chronic disease. She enjoys visiting national parks, hiking, and roller coasters.

Tara Prieur, MD

Dr. Prieur is a board certified pediatrician who has been practicing pediatrics since 2001. Prior to joining the team at Valley Children's Clinic in 2012, Dr. Prieur practiced in Virginia Beach at Virginia Beach Pediatric Center. She attended the University of Virginia for undergraduate and Eastern Virginia Medical School, then completed her pediatric residency at The Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk, VA. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Prieur was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. She moved away to attend college and medical school and moved back to the Harrisonburg area. Dr. Prieur enjoys outdoor adventures with her four children and stays busy attending their sporting events. She competes in triathlons and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding.

Monica Compagnari, FNP

Monica earned a BA in nursing at Eastern Mennonite University and a MSN with certification to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Virginia. She has been practicing at Valley Children's Clinic part-time since 2003 while homeschooling her children. She has a special interest in working with breastfeeding moms and children with learning difficulties. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and crocheting.

Mary Moster, CPNP

Mary earned a BSN/MSN with certification to practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of Virginia. She has been practicing at Valley Children's Clinic since 1998. She has a special interest in working with children and families. She lives in Charlottesville and enjoys spending time with her extended family and pets.
